These were a couple translations that I made quite a long time ago but apparently never officially uploaded them to the page here.

The first design sheet shows how the machine heads work…and what lies beneath their outer cover… It looks exactly like Emil!

This has been an aspect that I’ve been speculating ever since we first saw these designs. I couldn’t help to think of all the millions of copies Emil made of himself during the first 100 years of the so-called “Space Wars” when the aliens first invaded and wonder why all of the Machines had these mechanical Emil heads. My original theory was that the aliens took control of many of his copies and “reprogrammed” them, utilizing them in their newly developed “Machines”. We still don’t know whether or not there is any real connection between Emil and the Machines, but Yoko Taro recently mentioned in an interview with Game Informer that there’s still a secret regarding Emil! I can only wonder if might be something along these lines.

Anyway, here’s a look at the translated design sheets that I made several years ago. There were many more, but I never got around to translating them all.
