I recently took a trip out to Akihabara to see what sort of NieR:Automata displays were up in stores… and discovered 3 really nice character mini posters for 2B, 9S, and A2.

Each poster has Yoshida Akihiko’s character illustration along with three in-game images relating to each of the characters.

What instantly caught my attention was the 2nd image, the one in the middle, on A2’s mini poster:

Perhaps this will help job your memory…

Although it looks like this character in the desert, surrounded by gigantic, spherical machines, has short hair, this may in fact be A2. I really doubt SQEX would make such a huge mistake when designing these character-specific posters.

So, this brings into question… how or why does A2 currently have long hair if she had short hair before…? Or, how do we even know exactly when this scene takes place? Could this suggest a greater connection between 2B and A2 than what was previously known?

I suppose we’ll have to wait another 22 days to find out…!!!
