YoRHa Ver.1.2 Musical and YoRHa Boys Ver.1.0 Returning to NicoNico!

In an effort to promote the “STAY HOME” movement during the Coronavirus pandemic, the 2018 performances of the YoRHa Ver.1.2 Musical and YoRHa Boys Ver.1.0 stage play originally streamed on NicoNico will be coming back for a brief time. The plays will be available FOR FREE from Friday, May 1 to Sunday, May 10.

If you haven’t seen these versions yet, I would highly recommend checking them out. Both of which have been released on Blu-ray as a box-set, and can still occasionally be found at vendors like Amazon. But be prepared to pay anywhere from $300 at this point…

And if you haven’t seen it yet, the YoRHa Ver.1.2 Musical was my first experience to work as freelance press on the stage play report, so you can check that out here.

YoRHa Ver.1.3aa Stage Play: An Official Report

Just in time for the NieR 10th Anniversary, I’ve been able to post my report on the YoRHa Ver.1.3aᵃ stage play, detailing the final rehearsal, which was held on March 13.

Unfortunately, due to Coronavirus closures, all public viewings of the stage play were cancelled, but the show was streamed live on NicoNico during the pre-10th Anniversary Livestream on March 29th.

You can view the full report here.

YoRHa Ver.1.3aa – Jackass Makes His Official Debut!

At long last, Jackass has finally made his official appearance known! This is the first view of him in the new version of the YoRHa stage play:

“Jackass is an android with a distorted personality, always laughing from his lofty perch. Additionally, he seems to have a weak neck, or maybe it’s because he’s always craning it awkwardly in curiosity… His strength is unmatched among the Resistance.”

From this blurb, it seems like he will be a sort of crazy mad scientist sort of character… or maybe it’s just my imagination! I can’t help but wonder what interests he might show in Accord… Oh, no!!! (heeheehee)

This production is slated to be livestreamed, but the details are still being worked out. Once anything official has been released, I will report about it here!

YoRHa Ver.1.3aa – Key Visual

We’re exactly a month away from the premier of the YoRHa Ver.1.3aᵃ stage play, which depicts the classic Pearl Harbor Descent Mission in December 11941, several years before the setting of NieR:Automata. We should start to see the boys talking about starting rehearsals on Twitter soon!

In this new poster, likely designed by Koda Kazuma as usual, we see the four YoRHa as they are about to jump into their flight units and descend from the Bunker.
