▶︎ About Tsuki Oke / Mond Tränen PhilharmoNikeR

Mond Tränen PhilharmoNikeR (also known as the Tsuki Orchestra aka Tsuki Oke) is a volunteer-based musical group formed by fans with the goal of performing music from the NieR game series.

In 2017, they arranged music from NieR Gestalt/Replicant, and in 2019, they performed pieces from NieR:Automata with a full orchestra and chorus. At this concert, they performed music from NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… featuring an orchestra, chorus, and pipe organ. The group is dedicated to creating concerts that capture the essence of the NieR universe, continuously striving to innovate and improve their performances.

Conductor: Osuke Miura
Osuke Miura graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at Chiba University. He began playing piano at an early age and took up the flute in junior high school. He served as a student conductor in both high school and university and later became the permanent conductor of a general brass band. He then joined the orchestra Sei no Shirabe as its permanent conductor, leading project-based one-title game orchestras. Since the orchestra’s 2009 concert, he has also served as principal and permanent conductor for the Temple Knights Symphony Orchestra, the Fa Dir Chamber Orchestra, and Gloria Angelicus, all of which have been well received. He studied flute under Keiko Naganaga and conducting under Takaharu Miura. Miura is also a listed contributor to Mates Publishing’s “55 Points for Improving Your Brass Band.”


Concert Mistress: Ayumi Shimizu
Ayumi Shimizu started playing the violin at the age of two using the Suzuki Method. She graduated from the music department at Toho Girls’ High School and the Toho Gakuen School of Music. She studied violin under Tomoko Kato and became the principal player of “Melodies of Crystal,” an organization that plans concerts inspired by video games. Since 2017, she has served as concert mistress for various performances, including the “4star Ensuite Orchestra Concert” at the 2015 4star Orchestra Game Music Festival and Japan’s largest game music festival, “TOKYO GAMETAKT.” In addition to her work with orchestras, she is active in a wide range of genres, including supporting voice actress Asami Imai in live performances and recordings. Shimizu now teaches the next generation of musicians using the Suzuki Method.


Organ: Yuka Mangeol-Ishikawa
Yuka Mangeol-Ishikawa majored in music theory at Tokyo Metropolitan Arts High School of Music before completing her master’s in organ at Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School, where she received the Acanthus Prize. She furthered her studies at the Toulouse Conservatory in France, graduating from the organ department’s Perfectionnement course and earning diplomas in harpsichord, piano accompaniment, and écriture. In 2016, she performed at the Tokyo University of the Arts Morning Concert and appeared in an NTT docomo VOLTE HD+ radio commercial. She was also a semi-finalist at the 2018 Pierre de Manchicourt International Organ Competition.


Guitarist and Sound Engineer: Hiroyuki Kato (CEO of Moonbow Music)
The CEO of Moonbow Music operates two recording studios in Ochanomizu and Yokohama. He has a notable track record in surround sound and has expanded his work into PA systems and hall sound engineering for various events. His compositions and arrangements span commercials, corporate videos, games, soundtracks, TV programs, and virtual YouTubers (VTubers). He is also experienced in recording engineering and music production. As a guitarist, his style ranges from warm, simple solos to larger ensemble work. He excels at proposing ideas tailored to the specific goals and concepts of each event.


Harp: Masaru Mitsui
Masaru Mitsui, born in Tokyo, began playing percussion in junior high school and took up the harp at age 17. She graduated from Kunitachi College of Music, majoring in harp performance under the tutelage of Izumi Sato and Risako Hayakawa. In addition to performing with orchestras and wind bands, she is also involved in video game music performances. While in university, she appeared on BS Nippon Television’s Koisuru Classic. After graduating, she worked for a publishing company while performing in numerous concerts, including the 2021 Symphonic Jazz Orchestra and the 25th Anniversary Persona Symphonic Concert. Currently, she performs across the Tokyo metropolitan area and teaches harp, particularly in schools. Mitsui is a member of the Japan Harp Association.


Choir Instructor: Sohei Miyoshi
Born in Saitama Prefecture in 1979, Sohei Miyoshi founded a choir after graduating from university and has since become a conductor for over a dozen groups across Tokyo, Saitama, and Toyama. He is actively involved in choral-related activities, including commissioning works from contemporary composers, producing concerts, stage managing, and emceeing. He also contributes to the production of music for TV dramas, anime, and films. Miyoshi is the Secretary General of the Tokyo Choral Association, a member of the Japan Choral Directors Association, and the supervisor of the anime song choral project “ChoieL.” He also organizes the Little Night Concert.
