It was just announced by the official Dark Horse Comics Twitter account that they are working with Square Enix to make a “faithful localization” for the NieR:Automata World Guide.
It’s curious that they used this particular choice of words, implying that possibly other publishers were not able to produced likewise “faithful” localizations. Notice that they also specifically use the term “localization” as opposed to “translation”. Personally, I think it is vital to understand the difference between the two terms and to know which to choose depending on your target audience.
Anyway, here’s to hoping that Dark Horse Comics follows through with their “faithful localization”!
