There’ve been some really fun and interesting discussions on Twitter these past couple of days. I wanted to write about some of this yesterday, but alas… jet lag caught up to me and I passed out for much of the afternoon until the evening. 😛 I was up past 3am and had a 3 hour nap before getting up for my interview this morning. I expect I will get another case of the sleepies later this afternoon… *sigh*

Anyway, let’s start off with a series of tweets between Yosuke Saito and Yoko Taro, continuing their discussion on NieR merch, which I posted about a few days ago.

—Getting caught up in the moment, we made a bunch of different NieR merchandise, so if this stuff doesn’t sell, both myself and Yoko-san are going to be in big trouble, so please buy something… —Yosuke Saito

haha I love their silly banter back and forth! xD

Here’s a little more talk regarding NieR merchandise:

—I was recently asked this question, so allow me to answer: Regarding NieR merchandise, as I’ve mentioned before, we will be offering online sales. We’re currently in the process of making the necessary arrangements to allow fans who are not able to attend the concert/live to purchase items online. Please give us a little time to sort things out. I hope we’re able to sell a lot… At any rate, I’m sorry if things are sold out… That won’t happen, though, will it…? —Yosuke Saito

Where do they get the idea that NieR merchandise *won’t* sell?? Of course it will! And a lot, too, I’m sure!! So, when that happens, I honestly hope SQEX will realize how much of a gem this franchise is…and maybe treat it seriously. Maybe it won’t ever match up to their mainstays like FF or DQ, but enough to give us fans what we’ve been craving for so long… Positive thinking perhaps, but one can only hope…!!

 

Moving on to an entirely different topic, here’s a funny thing that happened to Yoko Taro yesterday:

—I totally forgot my Emil head on the Shinkansen, but it was kept safe for me. Thank you, JR staff…… —Yoko Taro

—I just now saw this. Maybe you should think about making more… —Yosuke Saito

Maybe they should think about manufacture them! I’m sure there would be a ton of people interested in purchasing an official cosplay outfit of Emil!! Right!? <3 Oh well, maybe it’s too much of a risk…

I feel like there was something more I wanted to say or add to this current list of cool posts, but I can’t think of it now. 😛 Should anything else pop up as the week unfolds, I will continue editing this post, so please check back again to catch any further updates.
